B.A. in Theatre Arts, M.F.A. in Playwrighting and yes, it’s spelled right, or should I say “wright!” It’s spelled this way in the same manner that someone who builds ships is a “shipwright,” indicating that both of these professions is a craft.

I am currently working towards my Special Qualifications License in Theatre.

I first starting teaching semi-formally as a grad student in 2004, under the supervision of professors at UNLV where I taught intro level acting and theatre, play structure and analysis, theatre design and theatre history classes. Before moving to Las Vegas to study at UNLV I was in charge of managing summer camps at theatres for underprivileged children and youth from various schools in inner city Philadelphia, teaching them writing and other drama skills.

Although I do miss living closer to a larger city, rural living in a close knit town like Ely does have its own charms. I am a pet mom, published short story writer, and artist. I have co-written a play that has won an award with the Delaware Valley Hisortical Society. I consider myself an all around jane of all trades, and I never stop learning.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my page. I am open to hearing from parents and fellow teachers about all things school, art, and Doctor Who, so if you have a question, comment or observation please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me, my virtual door is open! Allon-sy!
